How We Use Your Donations
We only grant donor funds to schools on a discretionary, project-specific basis. Schools must submit detailed grant proposals for each project, and we only fund projects when your donations will be used transparently and efficiently to address a specific need.
We require schools to account for each grant dollar, including by providing periodic financial statements. When schools use our funds to purchase school supplies, operate meal programs or fund teacher salaries, we require all relevant receipts.
We’ll pass updates along to you, so you’ll know exactly how your donation helped children in Bihar. Whether your donation gives one child a new textbook, ensures that a teacher can afford to educate a class or helps build a kitchen to feed an entire school, you can be confident that you helped bring change where it’s needed most.
We’re also committed to maximizing your donation’s impact. We’re run entirely by volunteers and, other than discounted payment processing fees, our directors fund all of the overhead costs and expenses involved in operating our organization. This means that your donation will go directly to a school that needs it.
