30 Women Complete Sewing Program with BE Change Funding

BE Change has proudly funded an impactful sewing program in Rajaundha Village, Bihar, since its founding in 2024. In May 2025, the program’s first cohort of 30 women from the local community completed the course, mastering new sewing skills they can use to support their families and generate income for themselves.
Importantly, the women also forged friendly relationships and bonds with each other, providing many with a stronger local support system beyond practical skills.
BE Change funds allowed the program’s administrator, our longtime partner, Rajesh Kumar, to purchase sewing machines for each of the 30 students. These gifts not only recognize the hard work these women displayed in completing the course, but also help them put their new skills to work—whether it is mending family clothing or producing beautiful works for sale.
